ABOUT

Written historical sources mention Castello La Leccia as early as 1077, when the nobleman Rodolfo di Guinzo acquired part of the castle. Considering the strategic importance of its position, the rights of the castle were divided between 16 different owners. Our organic winery offers twelve bedrooms in three different categories, ranging 21 to 55 m² in size, which all enjoy splendid views over the surrounding countryside. Elegantly furnished, the rooms have been designed to render your stay intimate and comfortable. Wooden floors, beamed ceilings, pastel colors, precious fabrics and furniture designed by a Florentine artisan chosen exclusively for these rooms, create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. With this in mind, we work to support the development of life on the ground. We use a reduced quantity of copper and sulfur for phytosanitation, we favor the use of resistance inductors to increase the intrinsic defense of the plants, we plant barley, mustard and clover between the rows of vines and we use compost derived from the pomace and stalks. These are only a few of the factors that encourage an optimum balance of organic substances in which our vines sink their roots.

ROAMER REVIEW

Let me tell you, fellow roamers, Castello La Leccia isn't just a stay, it's an experience that lingers in your soul long after you check out. Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Tuscany, this ancient castle isn't just a monument to history, it's a testament to sustainable living. The very first thing that will steal your breath away is the view. Imagine waking up to a panorama of endless vineyards, punctuated by charming Tuscan villages. It's a scene straight out of a Renaissance painting, and it never gets old. What makes this place unique, however, is that these folks take eco-consciousness seriously. From their organic vineyards to their commitment to using local produce in their restaurant, they're all about minimizing their footprint and celebrating the bounty of Tuscany. Here's the thing – sometimes luxury and sustainability feel like they're on opposite ends of the spectrum. But at Castello La Leccia, they prove that you can have both. You'll feel pampered in their beautifully appointed rooms, but with the knowledge that your indulgence is balanced by a deep respect for the environment. If you're looking for a place that nourishes your soul, your taste buds, and the planet, then look no further than Castello La Leccia.
